BIBB has been investigating whether the four dual IT occupations, which have remained unchanged since 1997, need to be modernised. Against the background of the increasing digitalisation of the world of work, the aims of this process were to identify current and foreseeable requirements for skilled IT staff and to draw up proposals for the future shaping of the IT oc-cupations. This article presents selected outcomes of the investigation and uses this to arrive at conclusions with regard to a possible rearrangement of IT occupations.

Mit der Einführung von vier neuen IT-Ausbildungsberufen sind konzeptionelle Innovationen hinsichtlich der Struktur der Ausbildungsberufe, ihrer didaktischen Leitlinien und des Prüfungsmodells verbunden. Die vier neuen IT-Berufe (IT-Systemelektroniker/IT-Systemelektronikerin, Fachinformatiker/Fachinformatikerin, IT-Systemkaufmann/IT-Systemkauffrau, Informatikkaufmann/Informatikkauffrau) schließen eine strukturelle Ausbildungslücke und leisten einen wichtigen Beitrag zur aktuellen Diskussion über Zukunftsfähigkeit und Flexibilisierung des dualen Systems. In dem Beitrag werden neben allgemeinen Überlegungen zum Strukturwandel, zum Fortbestand der dualen Berufsausbildung und zu den strukturellen Ausbildungsdefiziten der IT-Branche das Konzept der neuen IT-Ausbildungsberufe und ihre zentralen Begriffe erläutert. Im Rahmen einer Basisqualifizierung werden alle vier Ausbildungsberufe über gemeinsame Kernqualifikationen verbunden, die auf ein ganzheitliches Aufgabenverständnis abzielen und berufliche Flexibilität sowie Lernfähigkeit für wechselnde IT-Fachaufgaben sichern. Auf diesen Kernkompetenzen baut dann die Fachbildung auf, die offen gestaltet wird für vielfältige Spezialisierungen.
Der Beitrag stellt die Struktur und die Elemente des neuen Ausbildungskonzepts im Bereich der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik vor, nach dem ab August 1996 ausgebildet werden soll. Ausgebildet werden folgende Berufsbilder: IT-Systemelektroniker/IT-Systemelektronikerin, Fachinformatiker/Fachinformatikerin, IT-Systemkaufmann/IT-Systemkauffrau und Informatikkaufmann/Informatikkauffrau. Die Ausbildung gliedert sich in zwei Teilziele: die gemeinsamen Basis- bzw. Kernqualifikationen und die Fachbildung. Der Vermittlung der Basisqualifikationen liegt ein ganzheitliches Berufsbildverständnis zugrunde, das sich an den Geschäftsprozessen orientiert. Auf diesen Kernkompetenzen baut dann die Fachbildung auf, die für vielfältige Spezialisierungen offen gestaltet wird. Um die Kompatibilität der Abschlussprüfung mit der beschriebenen Qualifikationsstruktur zu sichern, wurde ein neues Prüfungsmodell entwickelt, dessen Grundlage die Projektarbeit darstellt.
